About Zoe

Hi, I’m Zoe.
I’m a qualified Integrative Counsellor (MBACP), based in Devon and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I work with adults who are struggling with things like trauma, domestic abuse, addiction, attachment issues, and the quieter but no less heavy difficulties that life can throw our way. Sometimes people come to therapy with a clear reason; sometimes they just know that something doesn’t feel right anymore.

I believe we all develop ways of coping in order to survive what we’ve been through, even when those ways start to hold us back later on. Therapy can be a space to gently explore those patterns, make sense of them, and begin reconnecting with the version of you that existed before life became overwhelming.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, and you don’t have to have the “right words” or a clear plan. I offer a warm, compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can be exactly as you are. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you move towards healing, clarity, and a life that feels more balanced and more like your own.

Thrive Counselling and Psychotherapy provides counselling services for individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.

While counselling and psychotherapy share similarities, they differ in scope and focus:

  • Counselling: Counselling is generally focused on specific issues or life challenges, such as coping with stress, improving relationships, or managing grief. It tends to be shorter-term and solution-focused, aiming to provide support and practical strategies to address immediate concerns.
  • Psychotherapy: Psychotherapy delves deeper into the underlying causes of emotional and psychological distress. It often involves exploring patterns of behaviour, emotional responses, and past experiences that may contribute to current issues. Psychotherapy is usually a longer-term process, providing a more comprehensive and holistic approach to mental health and personal growth.

Counselling sessions are 60 minutes long and start from £45 per hour.
